Summer Special Mela Round Up

After the unexpected delay in getting the entries together, I have finally managed to do it. Especially in the old fashioned style of collecting all the links, pictures and making a collage really takes so much time. I am really not sure how I managed to do all this manually in the olden days!

When I had announced Summer Special Mela, I had great plans of making picnic dishes/ Refreshers/ Easy and quick evening snacks. However for a greater part of the month we had rains through the month and I only managed some of what I had decided.

That didn't mean I didn't get them from others. The 60+ entries that cam, surely made up! Thank you everybody for sending this across. Do let me know if I have missed out any entry.

Beautiful roundup Srivalli. I always prefer to do the manual roundup and I love it but with so many entries it must have taken a long time to put together! Now i have bookmarked so many recipes to try but not sure when I will find time to actually cook them :)

Manual way, the painstaking way.. but still there is a charm with it.. so many entries, should have taken a lot deal of your time.. bookmarked many of them.. thanks for visiting my space and posting your lovely comments.. For vazhaithandu soup I had added onions and tomatoes, but no veggies.. so when we strain and have just the veggies remaining, we make a stir fry of it.. just do the tempering with mustard seeds and soaked moong dhal and transfer the strained veggies(onion, tomatoes and vazhaithandu) to it.. thats all no waste.. I have mentioned that too in the same soup post itself.

Thanks again for your time and comments..
